What is The Loft at Home - Indoor Cycling?
The Loft at Home - Indoor Cycling is more than your basic spin program. The Loft at Home - Indoor Cycling program gives at-home users the tools and the knowledge to increase their actual cycling abilities. Additionally, the program also gives you a safe way to burn calories and build athletics safely with professional coaching.
The 16 part YouTube program "The Loft at Home" is built to make you a better cyclist. Producer Scott Mitchell explains that this is not a spin series. It's a little bit different and that we are catering this series to cyclists to getting users used to riding a bike and learning technique to make them a better cyclist outside and to build strength on the bike.
My Thoughts: The Loft at Home - Indoor Cycling
We are fortunate to have our TriNerd and Coach Nick Patenaude lead in this indoor cycling series along with other local cyclists, triathletes, and coaches. We put Coach Nick's episode "45 Minute STRENGTH & POWER Intervals".
With limited gym space and access to group training, we are left to our own devices. However, with programs like these, it allows us to train in the safety of our own home and get a well-rounded workout with professional guidance.
I can honestly say it was very refreshing to have Coach Nick lead an indoor cycling class. I had the opportunity to fit the class into my schedule and get my burn on. I recently acquired a Keiser Mi3 (stationary spin bike) but this program can be done on a bike trainer as well with a smartwatch or fitness tracker. The fact that it's on YouTube makes it assessable from a mobile device, laptop, or cast on your Google Chromecast on your TV.
I like how Nick continued to engage with the viewer but also did the whole workout with the viewer. He sweated along with you while keeping you focused but most importantly reminding you to up the anti or to recover. I felt like I was in a live class yet in the comfort of my own home. As an athlete myself I had to appreciate the care that Nick took through the whole thing. Most virtual spin classes are catered to the entertaining experience and leave out the technical.
After 45 min I felt like I had an awesome workout and was ready to move ahead with my day. In fact, I could use this workout and include it in my weekly training program. I highly recommend The Loft at Home - Indoor Cycling for everyone, from beginners to long time athletes.
